Join the PTSA and Make a Difference in Your World!!!

The Parkland Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is a voluntary organization of parents, teachers and students supporting programs that benefit all Parkland students and families. The number-one reason to join the PTSA is to support your child(ren). In doing so, you also help your school. But there are many more advantages. Here are a few:
• Get Connected. There's no better way to know what's happening in your school. Also, stay informed about school and PTA happenings by subscribing to the (FREE) Parkland PTSA E-List. To join, send an e-mail to ParklandMMSsubscribe@ yahoogroups.com.
• Watch Yourself Grow. By volunteering with your PTSA, you gain valuable experiences and have the opportunity to put your skills and hobbies to good use for a good cause for your child and all children in the community. Tell us where your interests and skills lie and we’ll offer opportunities that will match your time and talent capabilities and have you feeling great about your PTSA efforts. Many hands lighten the load for all.
• SPEAK UP! Because the PTSA is a forum for exchanging ideas, you are encouraged to make suggestions. PTSA can be a way for you to more effectively suggest change at your child's school.
• Witness Improvement. By getting involved at your child's school, you'll be part of the solution, helping make positive changes. Local PTSA’s play an important role in fundraising to provide building improvements, curriculum-based programs, and social events - all vital to Parkland’s success.
• Be a Role Model. By becoming a PTSA member, you'll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education. Membership Dues are an important part of our funding and enable us to hold the many special events for our children and teachers throughout the year. Payment of dues also entitles you to 1 voting membership at the monthly PTSA meetings typically held the second Tuesday of every month from October to June (attendance not required though encouraged). September meeting date will be announced.
